Zhelin Lake, known as "a leisure and holiday park with first-class air and first-class water quality", is located in the middle and upper reaches of Xiuhe River, which is more than 100 kilometers away from the urban area of Jiujiang, spanning the three counties of Yongxiu, Wuning and Xiushui. It was formed by the construction of the largest earth dam in Asia-the Zhelin Hydropower Project. A magnificent artificial lake is formed in the reservoir area. The lake area is 308 square kilometers and has more than 900 islands.

The project is a sightseeing pontoon bridge connecting Zhelin Lake Snake Island, Crocodile Island, Monkey Island and other eight islands. Yachts can also be moored next to it. It is a multifunctional floating pontoon pier.
